Google Forms- Updates You Might Love
Google apps are always updating, and some of the newest features in Google Forms might make some of you fall in love (if you're not in love already). There are several recent changes, but you may want to take note of this:
You now have the option to make your form into
an instant quiz with feedback!
Here's how:
After clicking on settings, you'll notice that there is a setting for quizzes. After selecting "Make this a quiz", you can customize some additional options including when to release the score and what students can see after submitting their responses.
When creating the quiz questions, you can assign unique point values to each question. (Don't forget to mark the correct answer on the answer key!)
Depending on your settings, students may have the option to view their scores.
Students can review their answers and see their scores quickly and easily.
Teachers can few responses easily and quickly under Responses.

T'was the Day Before School...
Staff members were prepping- some through the night!
Cables were replaced in rooms here and there,
In hopes that you'd see that we really do care!
In previous years teachers shared a concern.
They had no sound system- How can our kids learn?
"Please give us some speakers," we'd hear teachers cry.
We said, "Ok-we're on it. Let's give it a try."
We wanted teachers to start their school year
with something that would allow students to hear
the music and movie clips teachers use as they teach
When we discovered we had something already in reach!
"The projectors!" said Wayne, "they have speakers inside!"
"I've got this!" he said, filling with pride.
Replacing the cables was all it would take;
Getting sound in the classrooms- a piece of cake!
With any updates and changes involving new tech,
things never seem to work like we expect.
Some classrooms needed more than an HDMI cable-
which is why some teachers found new doc cams on their tables.
If you're a teacher with a new HDMI cord in your room,
you should know you have sound now- your projector should boom!
Just turn up the volume on your tech devices
and please let us know if an issue arises.
The Facts:
- HDMI cables carry sound- if your projector is on and plugged in to your computer with an HDMI cable, you now have sound coming through your projector!
- Some of the older document cameras do not have HDMI ports. These are slated to be replaced and have been ordered . In the meantime, the HDMI adapters should work.
